Scarlet Carafe And White Daisy with Black And Brown Spots

“You don't have to be an alley cat or scarlet woman to enjoy love when it is put in your way. It is so much better to have loved and lost, than not have loved at all. Quite probably it is because you are a controlled rational person that it has been thrown your way to shake you out of your self made restraints.” Arija
.
So there it is, as scarlet as I could be, for a woman who loves dishes - a scarlet Fiesta carafe in the snow.
.

.
On a separate note, I am a new surrogate mother to the daughter of the ugliest bitch in our neighborhood. The poor mutt has been plucked too early from her mother’s teats, but I think it may be a blessing. Her mother is a stray and a street-walker, too many unplanned pregnancies with unknown males. She made a home in the neighbor’s carport and they let her stay. No pre-natal care, no veterinary care of any kind. The pup must have a white and brown father for how else did she get her white fur and brown spots? In two days my husband and I have spent at least $200.00 getting her settled in our house. We still have to take her to the vet for her shots..
She arrived two nights ago. I was in bed and noticed that my son has not come in to say goodnight. I called him and he was outside talking to his father. He said he brought home a girl puppy. I got out of bed, barefoot and anxiously ran out of the house into the carport. My son’s friend gave her as a Christmas present. She saved us $1,500.00, the fee intended for purchasing a boxer puppy from a breeder. She smelled like a dog, was flea-infested and cold in someone’s carport. She was hungry. I asked my son how it happened and he told me that when he saw them he called out to them and she was the first one to run to him. So he took her home. I hope someday his taste in women will be different. I did not want any of it but my son begged and I saw his eyes. My husband left it all to me to decide. My daughter was not pleased upon seeing her. I had to decide quickly, so the first thing I did was to give her a thorough bath. Thank goodness we had flea spray from the last time I watched my friend’s dog. It was a long bath, at 10:30 PM and by the time it was finished I had no canine perfume, so I sprayed her body with Hermes Le Caleche and her paws with Chanel No.5. She smelled better. She’s found a home. She is loved. My son wishes she lives a long happy life. I introduced her to our 4-year old rabbit. She behaved well, she better. I love that rabbit, well I love her too.

.

Her name is Daisy Brenna Euclid. Okay I just added Euclid. I prefer an intellectual. She is a smart puppy. She already knows how to sit on command. Oh, and she is spoiled and loved. She is going to be a gentle dog.

Merry Christmas!!!

Awww puppies! We can't walk past a pet shop without squealing "Aww puppies". You won't regret it, a boy needs a dog and a dog is a reflection of it's owner (stop spraying her with Chanel for goodness sakes, she'll be rolling in poo to get rid of the smell!) Happy Christmas Ces, have a wonderful family day and thank you for being my new friend. They say opposites attract so let's hope it lasts! Love your work!

Diana, she is pure unadulterated joy. She has sharp teeth though. She is sitting on my desk right now. Thank you for being my friend Diana and for sharing your wonderful world of art, home and motherhood.

Mildaysa, thank you for thinking. Love and thinking, I don't know if they go together. I certainly have not been thinking lately. Haha!

Baino, my husband and I are opposites and we have been married for 22 years now, so maybe you and I will remain friends for a very long time. Besides we have already been through the political arguments early on and got that out of the way. We are still talking to each other.

Thank you very much for everything. Maybe we really will meet in Paris in 2010.

Ces, I love you as a scarlet carafe! You and your fiery spirit are always a bright spot.

Oooooh, my heart is melting! She is very sweet, and obviously very social and friendly for being the first one to trot out to your son. (It does not mean your son is easy. It means he will put his women to the test!) And SMART for learning a command at such a young age. Bless you for taking her in. And it looks like Daisy has won your daughter's heart as well.

It is nothing but pleasure to be your friend. You make it easy. It is I who must thank you.

Bella, you are welcome and thank you. It is so delightful to get to know a wonderful woman: intelligent, smart, strong, accomplished, creative, artistic, kind, interesting, balanced, classy and funny, yes you. So there you go! I also love cute things, so cute it's sick, so we have something in common.

Oh how utterly gorgeous she is. It seems a very long time since Buster was so small. Now he walks on stilts and his ears flap in the wind. Have a wonderful Christmas, you and your family. You are so talented, Ces.

Softie! How can any mother resist two pairs of pleading eyes, and one pair of supposedly non-committals handily leaving it up to you? Euclid will probable solve some equasions and save you from unwanted visitors and turn out to be a blessing for the whole household. Nothing like a baby in the house for Christmas is there?
Love and good wishes...

Oh, that was just too hard to resist - youd have to have been made out of stone to resist this.....lucky little dear - Im sure she will repay you grandly one day (although you may have to choose which day she did so rather carefully LOL)
Enjoy the season!
