Forgotten Series

I realize I cannot draw serial projects anymore. Three or four is the most I can do. I easily get bored with a subject matter. This was a series I started late last year in 2013. 2013 was the year I was least productive in terms of drawing. I did one oil painting and then deleted it with a layer of paint. I did not share all of the drawings in this series I called "Forest." My original goal was to create a project for my Behance profile. These are 8"x10" sized illustrations on 11"x14" Bristol Boards. I have yet to post this. Here is "Forest":

A Million Lights, A Flicker of Hope

Allocthonous

Forest

The Wise One

Night Flight

Hi Rick, thank you. I have seen some awesome and overwhelming winter scenes from friends and relatives in the East Coast. Oh boy, you are all safe. Keep warm.

Steve loved it so much, he had to say it twice. Me too.

Gorgeous! I want to get lost in your forests.
Gorgeous! I want to get lost in your forests.

My favorite is Allocthonous. I used to live in a house that faced a small cliff wall where they had dug out the hillside to make our front lawn. The top of the cliff was blanketed with oaks and maples and hickory. I tried several times to plant Spanish bells on the forest floor, but without success. No understory for me.

Beautiful series.

They're all so magical and beautiful!!! I prefer the lights of hope, though!!! When I have to choose, I always choose hope!!! (I think it has to do with living in Greece at this time and age)!!! Anyway, great work, as always. Keep arting and keep hoping!!!

Aaaawww, Bella. WOWOW! That sounds like it was a beautiful and magical place. I can imagine how it looked in autumn and then in winter when it was all covered in snow. Maybe you can show photos.Thank you.

Ah, hope is such a beautiful word. I love it because it is my mother's name in English. Her name was Esperanza. I want to resurrect it to its natural and true meaning through art. Now as for modern hope, it has been bastardized by politicians especially by this current president. His version of hope is actually nope or dope.
