Wild Animals Will Not Survive Human Savagery And Ignorance

Shocking poaching footage!!!  This is pure evil act.

Left: Game scouts found this black rhino bull wandering Zimbabwe's Savé Valley Conservancy after poachers shot it several times and hacked off both its horns. Veterinarians had to euthanize the animal because its shattered shoulder couldn't support its weight. In the past six years poachers have killed more than a thousand African rhinos for their horns, which are smuggled to Asia for use in traditional medicines.

Right: In a café in Vietnam, a woman grinds a piece of rhino horn. By adding a little water and rubbing the horn over the dish's sandpaper-like bottom, she creates a solution that many Asians believe is a super-vitamin and a cure for various maladies. Few scientific studies have been conducted on rhino horn's medicinal benefits, and the results have been inconclusive. Since taking it, she says, "I don't feel my kidney stones."

STOP PANGOLIN POACHING

And now Chinese poachers and smugglers  are killing the pangolins or anteaters for their scales and meat. They remove the scales from live animals before they process them for meat. Read here.

Left, a pangolin or scaly anteater. Right, pangolin with its scales plucked by Chinese poachers and smugglers. Pangolin scales is made of keratin, the same material found in human fingernails and toenails.

Poaching is really a very serious problem. All the countries must have strict laws to deal with the menace. Thanks for this post Ces :)

Grrrrrr, I know some people who need to have their scales plucked.... These people need broad education and better way to make income. Thank you, Ces, for posting this. Important information needs to be shared, no matter how difficult to swallow.

I couldn't stop thinking the rest of the day about that poor rhino in the video. How could poachers be so heartless to do that and leave it to suffer in agony? Then I wondered if maybe they thought they had killed it before cutting it up, and only after they left did it start moving again. They are evil butchers, but I would like to think that they at least are merciful and kill them before hacking their faces off.

Ted, I could not even look at that rhino without wishing a voodoo spell on the poachers. I am so angry and you are right. This is depressing. Poachers are heartless evil creatures. They rape humanity They are no different from terrorists.
