Today Will Be Yesterday Tomorrow

All illustrations done in pigment ink on 11"x14" Bristol Board.

These are some of the members of the National Honor Society of  Pride Rock High. Mrs. Finemann, their adviser, was a teenager in the era of bell bottoms and can't seem to stop loving them. For those who noticed, Pride Rock High is a "no-sagging" zone. By the way, based on statistics, the real NHS in my epsilon's high school has more female than male students; with a majority of students of Asian-descent.

Love all their outfits Ces, especially the bell bottoms ;)

Fun illustrations! It's funny how fashion goes in cycles. Bell bottoms were in, then out, then in, then out again. Sagging I could do without.

absolutely true, most teenagers are wearing now the same style of clothes we wore as teens in the 90s...makes me feel a bit old.
I like how each of them show their personality in what they wear and how they pose.

heh, sorry about that post it looks like one of this silly anonymous spam posts !! Hey Ces, it's great how you have individualised the people. Do you know Giotto's the last judgement - I think he has out Bosched Bosche! Worth a look when you can. I have been reading up on Stanley Spencer the painter and he was heaviky influenced by Giotto. Just thought you'd like to know that being a fellow Bosche-ian Fan. http://www.wga.hu/html_m/s/signorel/brizio/3/index.html

Wow, so much detail and areas of interest in a lot of these outfits. Very well done, Ces! Great to see and even more inspiring to try and emulate. I just wanted to say I laughed at your comment about enlarging a low res photo. I too watch "The Following," and I always giggle to myself anytime I see shows or movies do that :)

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Aaaah, I love these characters! I like their different poses. Too cool for school, hehehe. You draw males so wonderfully! I have trouble with males, on paper and in general. Tsup!

These are great drawings. My friend and I were sketching and noticing things about 20-something males: How they wear their stocking caps on the back of their heads, not on top like we used to. How their pants all droop in the back, something we would never have allowed, but most interesting, how they stand, with their arms and legs in tight. My friend was saying that it looks like they are trying to reduce their' finger print', and make themselves as unobtrusive as possible. Almost to be invisible as they stare at their small screens and move forward.
