After The PTA Meeting

...and then there were twelve. Original pen and ink drawing on 11"x14" Bristol Board. I really just meant to draw three elephants but I made mistakes so I drew more to cover the mistakes. After that, I just needed to make a dozen because that's a good and useful number. I like Andrew Finnie's definition of PTA: Pachyderm and Teachers Ass. :)

This is Lati. She is the carabao of Pepe and Pilar, the English primer when I was in first grade. Illustrated her last Sunday while exchanging messages with my former elementary school classmates.

L'évolution de ton travail me fascine beaucoup... Tu es très méticuleuse et j'aime ça !

Lati me semble solide, costaud et plantureux ! et à la fois il doit avoir un caractère d'un bon nounours !

Je t'envoie de gros bisous...

Ces, I have been commenting on some of these later posts of yours, and do not "see" my "work"--smile. I will look in later an see if this one makes it.

Steve, I don't know what is going on. I have been receiving comment emails intermittently. Bella's comment went to spam along with the other anonymous comments but I did not see any from you there. I am sorry for blogger losing your comments. I don't know what is going on. Thanks for trying. Nice to hear from you. Hope you are well.

Thanks. I got through. Meanwhile, I find that my computer contracted a virus through an email attachment which I stupidly clicked. It has been send emails (from MY address) to Peeps, telling them they are fay, and need to go on diets, etc.I knew nothing about this until today...but HAVE been noticing a slowdown.

Sorry...it's not your problem, but mine alone. I'll fix it in morning :-)

Nice Ass. :)

I like how they're all squeezing in for the picture. Does this color make my butt look big? Aah, look at Lati looking all diva. She gets a beautiful solo shot. Lati don't share the stage with nobody.

I'm totally in love with your elephants! Tsup!

OH em geeeeeee! Ces! Just slap me now..I've missed far too much of your awesome illustrations and words. I apologize to you my friend! I'm incredibly in awe of your rhinoceroseseseseses and elephanti! (I'm trying to be like Andrew and create cool funky words..but I fall far too short.) I hope you have been well and work is flowing though I know you are so incredibly busy. I'm heading to your store now...but just wanted to say, you flatter me with your wonderful comment and I don't deserve it my friend. I am just happy to paint..and am so happy you enjoy it. Happy pre-spring! Sending you warm wishes and hope March brings lots of good mojo and slices of cake...or napoleons..I remember you love them so. : ) Tsup!

That's a beautiful herd. Was it as difficult as herding cats? Lati has nice negative and positive areas, too. It's cool the way your mind has to make up where the sky stops and the border begins.

Here's an interesting article about Rhinos in the news today. Makes sense because current laws aren't working:
