As I said, I won't post again until I finished my oil painting. Well, I am posting :) Here is a colored pigment ink illustration I dedicate to my brother who introduced me to this flower, belonging to the genus Passiflora. This is Passion Flower.

Ces...your new banner is fabulous and so YOU!..the drawing, the checks...love it!
Your oil painting is fantastic...the newer area at the top is less busy. I liked it both ways though, but the new is more serene. Maybe more peaceful?
I would love to offer you words of comfort on missing your sister, but I know better. Time is what helped me...my sister has been gone almost ten years now. Big huge hugs.
I like this flower..the illustration has satisfying depth. Cool header with the elephant and pig!
Well of course you had to post this. She's quite seductive. Her petals have a come-hither appeal.
Tsup!
Oh! One of my favorite flowers, only the variety I can grow is all blue. The intricacies of its structure are perfect for your pigment ink technique!
As to your vow, this is a perfect example of productive procrastination. I'm a big believer in procrastination when it leads to more art!
Thank you, Lisa. Just recycling some old headers. Ah, yes, I am reminded of the minimalistic painting of the gypsy by Rosseau. (Sp?)
Oh Ces! this is so beautiful I can almost smell it! These flowers have such a wonderfully unique smell. It has been a very long time since i have seen one. Your ability to bring it to life with light and shadow with your pens and heart for your brother is amazing!
Thank you, Tammie. Do you know, I have never smelled one up close? Ah you might see my brother filling my FB page with flowers. Goodness, he should be teaching Math. :)
Tsup! Oooh I did not think of that but now that you mentioned it, I see it. :)
I have never seen such complicated structure, I tell you. Procrastination, procrastination, I must think of something to say about that... :)
Thank you Rod. Oop, I changed the header, just now... Well, they blink they miss.
Look at YOU, CES!!! This is beautiful! I love that you can go from one piece to another in defiance! : ) Hope the oil painting is coming along well..I know it is! 14 stitches?! Wow...talk about a tough little shy girl. I love it..you are so feisty and now I see from when you were quite young. Thank you for your sweet visit my friend. Here's to the shy kids who grow up to be some fierce people. : ) Big hugs! Tsup!
Gosh, that's great, Ces. Looks kind of exotic. Probably wouldn't have a chance in my guy garden. Sorry I missed the elephant and pig, but Humpty's always a crowd pleaser.
Bravo !
Gros bisous
