"Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy."

The Despicable, Demented, Dysfunctional, Degenerate Queen of Everything, The Empress Diapsida Squamata  Eating Her Young While The Slimy Salmonella-ridden Dopehead and Pothead Actually Attempt To Discuss The Function Of The Integral Kernel Or Kernel Function Which In This Formula Is Illustrated By K And To Tell You Quite Frankly Only The Likes Of My Brother And My Sister, The Mathematicians, Will Comprehend:

(T f)(x) = \int_X k(x, x') f(x') \, dx'.

Which Does Not Really Explain This Illustration. But It Is A Long Story.

  1. Whoah, that is one rotten egg alright. As for the other two . . . that equation brings back to many bad memories of college calculus class.
    Functions gone wrong, indeed!
Hope you had a peaceful Mother's Day.

  6. Sheeesh! Sounds like a pretty normal celebration to me--grin! Especially like dopehead's right arm band(s)...ARM? Well, whatever...appendage? Well, not quite LOL!

This rotting piece of, ummmmm, ART, reminds me of those days living in the woods, like Marines in the WWII jungles. But nobody was shooting at ME! (In those woods behind the horse barn--grin!!!)

Ces...thank you for correctly spelling KERNEL! I hate to see Peeps writing the word as COLONEL--grin!

    As usual,
this is my favorite blog-place to be...
there's just so much to do and to see...
    ANY time!

  8. Hehehehehe, I am giggling at your details. Pothead's earrings and Dopehead's lovely tattoos and the hidden beach ball and the fanning cannabis leaves and her ring of rocks. Hahahaha! Quite a lovely bunch, this trio. Aah, nothing beats a mother's love. Your imagination knows no bounds! Tsup!

  11. Well, that story was long enough for me. sheeesh! ha ha.

As for that equation, anything above bonehead math and I start to shut down. I took a refresher math course in college, did okay in it, but forgot it all again a year later. That analytical stuff just bores me silly. I do play a mean game of chess though, for some weird reason.

I really like the B monster movie feel of this one, the stuff that nightmares are made of. Very cool. Ever read any H. P. Lovecraft? Good stuff, but not too late at night.

  16. Ah hahaha, my favorite is the pothead fellow. A very self-important lizard person I am sure! I will say I am not smitten with this particular egg person (fairly sure I'm not supposed to be) but I do love all the patterns in the leaves and grass and stones! As for the equation, if that isn't secret code then I don't even know what.

  17. Ces, this makes my head hurt! (I was never a good math student!)I'm thinking Mom probably should have waited until AFTER she got some Mother's Day presents before eating her children....just sayin'. Awesome detail! Love the dark, macabre aspect of it!
