Hide And Hide

Bumpy Dumpty Who Successfully Played Hide (And Seek) Two Hundred Years Ago And Was Never Found Until Now.
8"x10" Archival ink on 11"x14" Bristol Board

This week I completed two drawings for the Lesser Known Dumptys Series. I know, you wonder how I do it. I don't have much time. Aside from family routine and obligations, work has been hectic and quite stressful. Then there are school activities to attend. There was one this week, my daughter's Spring Concert, the last one before the school year. It lasted two and one half hours of symphonic band, orchestra, chorale groups, varsity choir, jazz band, drum corps... it was a beautiful concert. Yet, two and a half hours in the evening after ten hours of work and commute! No wonder I am having 10:00PM suppers. The theater lighting was dimmed but I could still see. Incidentally I had my portable 11"x14" drawing board. Yes, how fortunate :)

I am on call tonight. See what happens when I can't go back to sleep after being paged? You get to hear from me!

Okay, I owe you a visit. Please be patient. I am accumulating more vacation hours. So far I have eight hours. One of these days, I will take a vacation and visit every blogger who paid me a visit since July 2011. Seriously, I am that far behind.

As always, I am amazed at the wonders that flow from your pen. Don't worry about visiting. Everyone loves you anyway and understands. I too have not visited people in what seems a very long time. Somehow life is steering me away from my computer as well as getting to be too much for me. I realise I am no longer a young woman . . . Tsup . . tsup . . tsup.

Dumpties of the underworld, heh?
(I love how your pen is connected to your mind.)

And I thought I was the only person THAT far behind.... hahaha Cannot find the top of my desk ~ so buried with paperwork that needs to be sorted and gone through - many "to do" lists - and on and on. I need to start the year over.
Your drawings have been spectacular, as usual, Ces. I just don't know how you do it. Super Ces!!
Don't get stressed out dear lady!
TSUP! ♥ audrey

Oh Me Goodness, I just had the most wonderful experience...first I was frustrated, as even with my reading glasses I could not see enough detail, and suddenly realized in my gigantic mess of a floor, sat my magnifying tool I sometimes use with sewing. I started at the top and have gotten no further because moving back and forth with the glass actually feels as if I am ENTERING the forest!!! **squeals** Heading back in...send a search party if you do not hear back from me...I may get lost with Bumpy.

This is so COOOL! And so dark! So much delicious ink! I think my butt is doing what your nib was doing. Squiggling in mah seat, I'm so excited!

Oh, wait. Maybe I need to use the potty.

No, seriously, look at all those roots and limbs! And HA! Those rabbit holes turned out to be toes! Can you imagine? Being out on a nice hike and turning around and seeing that face looking down on you? WAHAHAHA!

Beautious!

There are more posts in this blog than a mile-long wooden fence. I can't keep up with you, but when I do it's definitely worth it. I really like your Humpty series.

When I first started this blogging thing I was posting a cartoon gag a day, but that was because I had a large backlog of drawings that nobody had seen. Now I'm lucky if I can post one a week, with the occasional dusty rough thrown in, because I'm having to come up with this stuff from scratch. Wish I had your (art)work ethic.

This is a self portrait (metaphorically) that you made Ces, because you felt guilty (hiding) in the dark
doing a drawing instead of watching your daughters concert!! :)

Oh Ces, I love this sooooooooo much. It is pure awesomeness, but you are pure awesomeness also, so what else could we expect to flow from you?
