Living. Loving.

Today is a special day.

Today is my sister Leah's birthday anniversary. She would have been sixty three years old. She passed away three years ago after battling cancer.

Today is my son's birthday. He is twenty two years old.

It's a beautiful day.

Life. Filled with love, yesterday, today and tomorrow. Always.

Light

Such innumerable joy in the warmth of a dog sleeping soundly snuggled tightly between and over your legs on the sofa that you cannot move but do not wish to disturb her sleep, until your leg starts cramping.

I love weekends at home so much that I go to bed early, consequently wake up early and start my day in meditation and devotion while it is still dark. Joy indeed, for I get to light the hearth and the room with the glow of candlelight.

But now I must prepare for my workday. It will be busy. It is 2015 and Obamacare has brought more rules, regulations and core measures.

Fresh

No other sensation like sleepily sauntering into the kitchen to pour yourself a cup of coffee then smelling the scent of baked bread and feeling the warmth of the stove on a cold morning. Now doesn't that make you happy? Simple joys. Happy New Year!
