Allocthonous: Where Faeries Dwell, Third In A Series of Forest Scenes

Step by step
Little by little
One day at a time...
I can't remember the title of that song,
Can you?
But it is playing in my head...

Allocthonous. Pen and Ink on 11"x14" Bristol Board
I look at a tree and I uproot it and transplant it in my dream...

Love to see your work progress . . .
gnarly tree branches fit the upcoming season.
Can't wait to see your finished piece.

Ces.
You never stop being amazing at what you do, at your showing us what you do, and even HOW you do it.

You are ONE-in-A-MILLION, Houston-girl!

Hi Ces, my B-day was last month, just after my husband's funeral.
What kind of trees were you looking for???

Ces Adorio said...

Gaahh! I always manage to confuse myself even if I try to clarify it. I am still confused. One month off is awful. Remember how I tried to explain it here? http://cesandherdishes.blogspot.com/2010/09/happy-birthday-beloved-arija.html

I am terrible. Well, every time I draw a tree, I visit your blog and peruse your photographs. I transplant your trees in my dream, sort of an allocthonous forest. :)

Sorry about the dirth of trees on my blog lately, the only offering I have is the trunk and sheltering branches of an old oak I like to park under when going to the farmer's market. If you want, I can mail you a copy.

Ooooh, but you have a lot of photos from your previous posts. I read through your blog. Thank you.

Refrain, from song STEP BY STEP:

Step by step, little by little
(Move a little closer to me)
Step by step, take it line by line
(One day at a time)
Move, move, move, move a little closer
(Move a little closer to me)
Step by step, the deal is mine

Ces I could/would/CANNOT ever tire of perusing your work, and ests of pictures. Even if I did not "know" you, blogger-friend, squiggling would intrigue me. And forever and on, I find hidden treats in, under, behind, hanging from, or just laughing in space--in a LOT of your work. And the manner in which you paint/draw your friends--evocative--is amazing. Just so you know--I won't write this again, until next time.

Your comment/discussion with Arija reminded me of the ARIJA AWARD which I still have posted on my old blog "steveroni" (I just checked!) and I'm thinking of moving it to this FOURTH DIMENSION. I'm guessing that's not against the rules. I NEED AN AWARD...hahaha! (Sounds like, "I NEED A HOLE IN MY HEAD!" hahaha!).

Hey, goodnight...
