Boiled chick peas last for a week in the refrigerator and up to a month in the freezer. The chickpea (Cicer arietinum) is a legume of the family Fabaceae, subfamily Faboideae. Its seeds are high in protein. It is also known as garbanzo bean, ceci bean, sanagalu, chana, hummus and Bengal gram.

Gee, I wondered if we'd EVER be allowed to comment again, since you "turned it off" yesterday...got tired of reading some of these non-erudite remarks?
I don't quite know what to say about "popping garbanzo beans in the morning." Could write a song about them snap-crackle-and-popping--grin!
But I know they'll taste good, (and they're healthful?)...
Now--whoever reads this comment--do you SEE why Ces turns off her comment section from time to time?
It's called immunity to insanity!
Actually, Anna puts those garbanzo beans in lots of foodstuffs. I don't believe she sets them out to watch the house while we sleeping.
Eh! You think too much, my friend! What is so interesting about a woman going mad at the tv screen and burning her cooking because she paid attention to the football game rather than the sauteed eggplant? Trying to boil my own chickpeas rather than buying canned oned - even if I drain and rinse them they are still salty. Hope you are well.
You could be a food photographer.
Great work.
(I discovered beautiful acorns today, from a local sawtooth oak. Thought of you. Probably tomorrow's blog.)
Thank you, very much Rick, coming from a very good professional photographer like you, I am humbled. Thank you.
Bonjour ma chère ces,
Craignent-ils de terminer en purée ces pois chiche ?... La complainte du pois chiche !
Gros bisous
Hahahaha! Martine Akison, that is funny. I did not mash them yet. Thinking of making homemade hummus. Hope you are well. trying to get back to blogging but busy with work and not doing much art.
