Autumn #3. Part of the original Seasons Series. I gave away this drawing. Unfortunately, I did not scan it. This is a photograph of the 9"x12" pen and ink drawing on Bristol Board. I have been trying to redraw this image and I cannot do it, something always changes. I know that the facial features are very simple but somehow I want to recapture that. I cannot even explain why it appeals to me very much. There is something very personal about this drawing and I miss it! I drew this right after I bought my motorcycle boots. :) As for "grounded" I cannot come up with any idea. I can unequivocally say, my mind is full of nuts.Saturday, January 7, 2012

~good morning my friend...what a beautiful gift you gave...grounded...as we all should be! such emotion comes from the face of this boy...wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead...much love light and blessings~
A lovely autumnal image... & that is the best time of year to peruse the ground for acorns & other nutty treasures!
I know what you mean about missing certain pieces of art... before I got my scanner, I had hardly any records of my non-illustration stuff... another benefit of modern technology!
It's hard to re-create a moment.
(I've been there, believe me.)
At least you have that image, and the memory of a perfect one.
Ces, please believe this: Somehow, my eyes are continuously drawn to some specific areas in "Grounded" which look like several wild (prehistoric?) animals lurking, maybe as shadows?
At least their shadows beckon me to reach out. lose an arm or more. and make friends.
Good health for you--and PEACE!
Dearest , there is so much sadness in that drawing. Maybe that is what you find hard to recapture.
The chemo for the tumour has killed something in my sisters bone marrow so she no longer produces red corpuscles. The cure is worse than the disease.
You didn't scan it?? Oh the one that got away! he he he. This is so beautiful Ces. You are just a master at this. It's gorgeous every single piece. Amazingly done to perfection!
Tsup to you my darling!
It's a beautiful piece - at least you have a photo!
Ces, hello
i also love this piece, every detail about it. grounded... near a tree, on the earth, wonderful! sometimes the things we give away we remember more deeply. or the things we loose....
lovely sunday to you
Whoever owns this is very, very, very, very lucky.
Today is a special day. I hope it is beautiful and full of smiles and laughter and deliciousness and dreams that come true. Enjoy it! TSUP!
OH what a gorgeous piece Ces! The conrast within makes this one really sing...and such great boots! There are a few things I still had physically present, but I'm glad that you have the photo, and I have vivid memories of my candy apple red shoes as a kid. What a lovely Autumn series. I hope you've been well and I wish you a peaceful, happy new year. Tsup!
I love this "great contrast queen"! :)
Great drawing, very atmospheric and rich in detail.
