Not Really Scary

Dream Series: Bound. Pen and Ink on 9"x12" Bristol Board.

I relegated this drawing to my box of "Draw and Forget." I did not really intend to post this for a reason. However, my drawing pad right now has nothing scary, so I thought I'd give this baby a chance and share it with you. When I showed this drawing to my children, I expected them to be a little bit shocked by it but instead they said "Cool!". Do you think this is cool? Hahaha! I am experimenting with line strokes. I am reaching my boredom level with squiggles, so you may notice more lines on my drawings. I have also decided to make my inked area measure exactly 8"x10" So I made an 8"x10" Bristol Board template and before I start drawing, I trace the area template on the new Bristol Board.

Hello Ces, okay I am finished my labours for the day, so I can enjoy. Bondage aye? The woman is so serene, she is at home in her snug coccoon, it's quite comforting she is at one with nature, not bound at all, but comforted in the womb, and how well does she blend in with her beautiful surrounds, and so she should. You know the custom's officer, Rousseau, you in some ways are a direct descendant, only better and not naive. I knight you Ces Rousseau.

Arise Siress Ces :)

Beautiful work. I'm giving you ten pointy things out of 9 pointy things for this :) (The more pointy things the better :) )!

now I must go and surf ....

AMAZING, Ces!

I can hear that girl singing a song like, "Come, light my fire....but watch out for the hair"!

This looks super cool but I want to see it up close. Teeny details are always so neat.

scary? nah you can't scare me!
awesome lines Ces, keep on experimenting. Perhaps this is how she sleeps best, as she looks so peaceful and I love your fungi as always.

Hi Andrew! That's the problem. I sleep. I wish I did not, but I do. Heheheh. I knew you will have an interesting interpretation of this drawing. You know, after I have finished drawing this, with all the details, squiggles and lines I thought two things to myself:

She is thinking, "Dam! someone may tickle me and I will feel like going to the bathroom, what then?"

and

:I can't see. If only I have my glasses."

Thank you for your visits and comments.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!! Steve, I can always see you smiling or giggling with your comments!!! Thank you.

Hi Cindy, thank you for your visit. Oh my, I am afraid to post the full resolutions here because the files are HUGE!!! Some of them, depending on the details are extra large. The full resolution for this one is 20.9 MB! Ugh, I did not even know that until I had to look. I am afraid they will never load for the others. :) These are 122KB medium sized images prepared for mail. I may use the large 422KB size next time. Thank you.

Tammie, that is why I love you! I don't think anyone who takes the most beautiful landscape photographs will be scared of anything. I can just imagine what you go through to capture those scenes. Thank you.

I have just breather in your latest. Haven't digested it yet but love the new style. I find it very peaceful, restful, resigned, accepting and oddly happy.

How are you coping, at a guess, just like me.

I see she's a bit tied up right now.. I'm going back to scrutinize all those wonderful details! x

HA! One of the first things I thought of was, "Ooh, I'd like to tickle her toes!" Hehehehehe. But really, this is quite scary. Did you know hanging upside down for long periods of time can lead to stroke? or blindness? or pulmonary oedema? So yes, her life is in peril and that is quite scary! On the other hand, she is going to have a lot of body in her hair when she comes back up.

Ces said...

Ha! bella, how do you come up with those ideas? Your FPOT is always full of information. :) Blindness...hmn. she's blind already.

It's a beautiful piece, great details and it evokes a lot of scary stories I've heard as a child. Great!

Very cool. Now how did I miss it?

I think this is VERY cool!! but a bit scary as well! it makes me wonder, who was she trapped and wrapped by, if it was some cruel human, will they return? she seems to have resigned herself to what ever the outcome. Or was it a giant spider!?
But the landscape is extremely cool - I love it!
