Drawing My Favorite Illustrator (Bella Sinclair) Drawing Me Drawing An Acorn. Pigment ink on 9"x12" Bristol Board. "Will you please draw me drawing an acorn?"
"Sure! Will you please draw me drawing you drawing an acorn?"
"Sure, here you go!"
I am re-posting this because my dearest friend Bella Sinclair finally posted
her drawing - oooooohhhhhh so wonderful! Thank you! Thank you! Every time Bella draws me, my heart somersaults! What an honor. Thank you! Oh I love you so much, my dearest sisterfriend! Tsup!
Here's the challenge:Do you think we can continue this cycle? Pity the fifth illustrator drawing the fourth illustrator drawing the third illustrator drawing the second illustrator drawing Ces drawing an acorn. You think we can pull this? You get the point, right? So who gets to draw the fifth illustrator? It's only fair that I should. I will draw the fifth illustrator drawing the fourth illustrator drawing the third illustrator drawing the second illustrator drawing Ces drawing an acorn. Here's the caveat, you have to incorporate the last illustrator's drawing in your drawing.
So?
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Love it! TSUP!!! Maybe the fifth one will be Andrew. Won't THAT be a challenge for you!
ReplyDeleteTasted like chicken.
Wowee. That's a challenge and a half! I think it made me a little dizzy! :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Eeep! It was actually a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteWow, Ces!! Abba is following me around these days... but i like the lyrics to your song much better!! I sure have trouble keeping up with you. I thought you had closed your blog only to find out that I had missed a whole bunch of posts with your more than gorgeous drawings!! Hope you are doing well!! TSUP!!! Silke
ReplyDeleteHello Silke! Yes, I know! I think I said I will close this blog, but have not done that yet.
ReplyDeleteStill singing the Abba song in my head... It's what we call an ear worm in German! TSUP! Silke
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean Youtube? I have the entire Abba collection... :) TSUP!
ReplyDeleteOh this will be fun!
ReplyDeleteMarie, I don't think anyone will pick it up, unless someone digitized this drawing and incorporated in in some collage. I am hoping Mita or Andrew will do that.
ReplyDeletethis is funny :D
ReplyDeletecan i just sit down and watch Andrew drawing?
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, what a task - not for the fainthearted!
ReplyDeleteyour drawings & loveliness
ReplyDeleteso clearly build upon
one another,
& build up one another...
beautiful creation, ces!
Wow! That is amazing. I could continue it, but it would be with stick figures.
ReplyDeleteYou and Bella are such awesome illustrators. You're work is fantastic. You put so much detail into your pencil drawings. It must take a very long time to draw something like this. Love it!
ReplyDeleteYou have to see Bella's drawing, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!
ReplyDeleteLove it Ces, you and Bella are too fun! I wish I had time to take you up on this right now, but we have exams this week ;(
ReplyDeleteI am brain dead from helping Cyan study molecular genetics... yes really, I'm serious, his eyes actually glazed over so we had to stop.
lol.... you guyz is crazy... crazy smart, i tells ya :D
ReplyDeleteWoweee kazaam...that is so awesome...you two are so FUN! What a super illustration, Ces. I'm so happy to have discovered this post and Bella's this evening..it's lifted me up for sure!
ReplyDeleteGRANDEWITCH THANK YOUUUUUUUUU!!!!

ReplyDeletesomeday i'll draw you Grandewitch!!!!
~as i just wrote on bellas blog...it is such a joy to see the love you both have for eachother...a beautiful blessing and gift of friendship you two share...once more a gorgeous drawing you have created...can't wait to see if you have any takers on this here little challenge!!! much love light and blessings my friend~
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! You two. It is acorn madness. You need to incorporate a mirror somehow. You drawing an acorn with your reflection in a mirror, while Bella draws an acorn with her reflection in a different mirror, but no! That is just a painting on the wall, and in the foreground Ces and Bella are painting acorns across from a gigantic mirror. Andrew needs to be in there somewhere. Maybe he is capturing the entire scene while holding a mirror. xox!
ReplyDeleteEat me!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy and lucky to be ensconced in your forest of ink! I think I will build a little hut of leaves and live here. Please do not charge me property tax. You must tell me one day what is inscribed on that rock.
ReplyDeleteYou and Bella are great. i love you drawing Bella, drawing you drawing an acorn, that´s so crazy and sweet.
ReplyDeleteGreetings and regards
Janine
ps.
ReplyDeleteI voted you "stylish" and left you one of those blog award thingies over at my blog! ;)
Have a fab Wednesday!
Awe. I was here earlier and got lost in the forest. Is that Bella's dog. It certainly is not Daisy. Is that your Emily? I see your nuts. Distinctly yours. May I please sit and watch you, Bella, Mita, and Andrew work? Or even play? So much brilliance in one place...surely the sun will become jealous. My world is tumbling around. Have I told you lately that I adore you. **kisskiss** Deb
ReplyDeleteWow you are so talented it is really annoying - and I am only saying that because it is true - not so that you will like me. Ces I run out of words to describe your talent - and Bellas. Magical is such an overused word. But in it's true sense both your works induce a magical feel in the observer.
ReplyDeleteI think, because the women in your works are beautiful, that having me in them would only uglify the work ( :) Maybe it would be good for contrast then?
I think that Mita would sit admirably in with the rest of you beauties! (Don't tell mita I said that)
But let me see, what about the sixth artist? :) I can see a mirror here somewhere.
greetings fromoz :)
Ces don't close the blog please :)
ReplyDeletebytheway im here.
ReplyDeleteaha :) I have been sprung :)
ReplyDeleteAndrew! Mita!
ReplyDeleteYou two! You should join this drawing tag. You can both do it!
Ahh thanks for your visit, and your very kind words about V. portrait. I think she hasen´t even seen it yet.
ReplyDeleteI hope she will like it too ( hi hi).
Have a great day
Janine
Wow, awesome piece, your work is soooo cool , love all the details!
ReplyDeleteYour nut is so big, it needs a special stand just to support it.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words and comments. Bella Sinclair is a wonderful woman and a great friend. She is much beloved by many people. She teaches me to share. Yes, I want to keep her for myself sometimes but I know I can't. Everyone who meets her, loves her. It's very eay to see why.
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit hectic here so it may take a while for me to reach your blogs. Take good care. Tsup!
That is the truest truism I have seen in a long time, when you wrote: "There is nothing we can't do"!!!
ReplyDeleteHow Soooo real!
PEACE!
Brilliant as ever Ces. It's too long since I've visited and I'm sooo sorry. No, I'd be useless for that challenge.
ReplyDeleteI just love the image of 3 wise women in the woods! Seems kind of spiritual to me. Seems like there is a story in there somewhere...
ReplyDeleteWow the detail is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteCher
Goldenray Yorkies
Well I had a go :) Didn't read the instructions properly - am dislecKic. :)
ReplyDeleteBella's drawing YOU is "my favorite work of art" (move over Mona Lisa!), and second comes the 7-on-the-scale aftershock--THIS!
ReplyDeleteEternally grateful to you Peeps. I really need the humility I get here!!!!
An outstanding share! I've just forwarded this onto a colleague who had been conducting a little research on this. And he in fact ordered me breakfast simply because I stumbled upon it for him... lol. So let me reword this.... Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanks for spending time to talk about this matter here on your web page.
