"Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy."

Drawing You Drawing Me, There Is Nothing We Can't Do

Drawing My Favorite Illustrator (Bella Sinclair) Drawing Me Drawing An Acorn. Pigment ink on 9"x12" Bristol Board.

"Will you please draw me drawing an acorn?"
"Sure! Will you please draw me drawing you drawing an acorn?"
"Sure, here you go!"

I am re-posting this because my dearest friend Bella Sinclair finally posted her drawing - oooooohhhhhh so wonderful! Thank you! Thank you! Every time Bella draws me, my heart somersaults! What an honor. Thank you! Oh I love you so much, my dearest sisterfriend! Tsup!

Here's the challenge:

Do you think we can continue this cycle? Pity the fifth illustrator drawing the fourth illustrator drawing the third illustrator drawing the second illustrator drawing Ces drawing an acorn. You think we can pull this? You get the point, right? So who gets to draw the fifth illustrator? It's only fair that I should. I will draw the fifth illustrator drawing the fourth illustrator drawing the third illustrator drawing the second illustrator drawing Ces drawing an acorn. Here's the caveat, you have to incorporate the last illustrator's drawing in your drawing.

So?

  9. Marie, I don't think anyone will pick it up, unless someone digitized this drawing and incorporated in in some collage. I am hoping Mita or Andrew will do that.

  14. You and Bella are such awesome illustrators. You're work is fantastic. You put so much detail into your pencil drawings. It must take a very long time to draw something like this. Love it!

  22. Hahahaha! You two. It is acorn madness. You need to incorporate a mirror somehow. You drawing an acorn with your reflection in a mirror, while Bella draws an acorn with her reflection in a different mirror, but no! That is just a painting on the wall, and in the foreground Ces and Bella are painting acorns across from a gigantic mirror. Andrew needs to be in there somewhere. Maybe he is capturing the entire scene while holding a mirror. xox!

  23. I am so happy and lucky to be ensconced in your forest of ink! I think I will build a little hut of leaves and live here. Please do not charge me property tax. You must tell me one day what is inscribed on that rock.

  26. Awe. I was here earlier and got lost in the forest. Is that Bella's dog. It certainly is not Daisy. Is that your Emily? I see your nuts. Distinctly yours. May I please sit and watch you, Bella, Mita, and Andrew work? Or even play? So much brilliance in one place...surely the sun will become jealous. My world is tumbling around. Have I told you lately that I adore you. **kisskiss** Deb

  27. Wow you are so talented it is really annoying - and I am only saying that because it is true - not so that you will like me. Ces I run out of words to describe your talent - and Bellas. Magical is such an overused word. But in it's true sense both your works induce a magical feel in the observer.

I think, because the women in your works are beautiful, that having me in them would only uglify the work ( :) Maybe it would be good for contrast then?

I think that Mita would sit admirably in with the rest of you beauties! (Don't tell mita I said that)

But let me see, what about the sixth artist? :) I can see a mirror here somewhere.

    greetings fromoz :)

  34. Thank you so much for your kind words and comments. Bella Sinclair is a wonderful woman and a great friend. She is much beloved by many people. She teaches me to share. Yes, I want to keep her for myself sometimes but I know I can't. Everyone who meets her, loves her. It's very eay to see why.

It's a bit hectic here so it may take a while for me to reach your blogs. Take good care. Tsup!

An outstanding share! I've just forwarded this onto a colleague who had been conducting a little research on this. And he in fact ordered me breakfast simply because I stumbled upon it for him... lol. So let me reword this.... Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanks for spending time to talk about this matter here on your web page.
