"Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy."

BBB

Come Fly With Us...
Join the club!!!
Read about the BBB here.

P.S. I still think the BBB Club President's (Bella Sinclair) drawing style is better suited for this logo job but here is my attempt. I will work with Bella and see how we can improve the logo. You may post the logo on your sidebar at your pleasure, for now.

  1. Oh, besides a flat skull, I play a musical instrument--a calliope. I press some buttons and the steam comes out from the flat top of my head. and yesss..I wear a feathered headdress to hide all of that.

If I'm accepted into BBB, I promise to uphold the rules (I understand there ARE none) as will be written by Ces the sergeant-at-arms length!

  2. This is great Ces!
Are you threatening to take Bellas spangled tights if she does not illustrate the sidebar logo? heehee!
Karin was an absolute delight to meet---I am glad I was a bald baby, and am mooning the world! ;D (that is just SOOOOO appropriate!)

  3. Okay! I am giving this a week, then I will illustrate a new club portrait to include Tessa and Steveroni, so far. So you have this week to sign up for the first official group portrait. Then I will become dictator and write rules like "No mooning with your bum because your head is already a moon!"

  4. OH I love this!!! Proudly grabbing the sidebra (teehee) logo! You may take Bella's spangled tights, but not her jewel encrust cone bra. We are dancing again tonight. **kisskiss** Deb

  5. Does that mean I have one whole week to 'moon'? (The club might then vote to disband--grin!)

  6. I was a bald baby and my grampa called me Curly. Do I have to shave my head now to be a member? I'm not sure I can do that. I can play a flute, will that be good enough?

I love your header, I think that is still my favorite of your drawings that I have seen.

  8. Ooooohhhh!!! This is so much fun. I am illustrating a double decker oak leafer with a baby bottle trailer. Steveroni stay alert, we may need you to ride the scout leaf. Oh lord, you are our scout? OMG.

Bello, honey, you can definitely make anything better!

Anne go ahead, moon as you please.

Deborah we may need you, Jan or Tessa to navigate. I am so excited - shirley was a baldie!!!

  10. Heck, I love the logo ALSO! It's up my sidebar--I mean, it is posted on the upper part of my sidebar. Oh well!

Hey what I know about being a 'scout' is from the radio show, "The Lone Ranger". Ranger's Indian sidekick (sidebar?) Tonto rode horse named SCOUT. "When taking off on a gallop to a secret mission, Tonto would shout, "GETTUM UP SCOUT..."! So that's all I know--BUT I CAN LEARN...I CAN LEARN, Ces!!!

  11. Forgot to ask about this: Bella wrote, "I have been pleasured."

Ces, you did not mention being pleasured as part of the BBB rules...or even suggestions. Did I miss something? (Am I blackballed....yet?)-GRIN!

    PEACE!

  13. I am a bald headed baby right now he he he he he he!!!
I have so many wigs it's a shame. I shave my head at least every two weeks except in the winter. I some hair to keep the heat in he he he he! I came out with a head full of hair when I was born. I have to find a picture and show you. Then I rubbed all the back out in the crib. Since I am both African American and part Asian,
I ended up with this wispy thin hair with just a little curl. My Great Grandpa was Chinese. He married my Great Grandma who had both black and white parents. She passed for white for many years. Blond hair blue eyes and all.

  22. Okay I have been hunting the neighbour hood for BBB's and have only found a few - the trouble is they have trouble flying because of the added weight ---

to tell you the truth my magic word is preanti. That's two prefixes joined together - but of course that is an oxymoron - because one prefix becomes the suffix.

see what you learn in blogland?

    heh

PS my nut is the talk of the town here
