  18. So I wake up today, thinking..oh, I have to get back to work-work, and decide, nah, I'll visit the blog to see my friends...and I...
    am just..
    blown away.

First of all, I'm so happy to see the babies on your header...they are one of my favorite paintings of yours. Secondly, your glorious painting of the moonlight on that beautiful head is so peaceful and puts me in a place of quiet reflection. Your work always does that to me. I always stop and reflect about life, pain, love, loss.

Oh Ces, thank you. Thank YOU. My heart is full, my eyes are teary, I am sad about Renee, and I am so very, very touched by this amazing honor. You are exactly what this award embodies, and to know you and Bella created it to honor such a regal, yet down-to-earth woman, I am so..oh my, I just can't put it into words.

It makes my heart full and happy and yes, hopeful to know (really know!) that there are such beautiful souls here and that we are all connected by these far reaching threads of love. I will never look at an acorn the same again, but always think of you, Bella and Renee and the love that spreads from each of you nutty nuts. ; )

I am so grateful and blessed to know you, Ces - I'm sending you and Bella big hugs..and I will raise a glass to honor Renee today. xoxo

  22. Ces.... twin sisterfriend! I've promised myself to keep in touch!!
Yes.... I believe more and more young people are involved with community service. Some may do it for their resumes and others do it for different reasons. Mine told me she does it because she loves to. I told her that she could forge a career in it and that she wouldn't make much money but would find something much greater.
Btw.... she's my FB friend but she blocked me from her pictures..... not cool...lol!

  23. Wow Ces, incredible incredible painting. It's so simple, with minimal images and color, but so rich. It's still and serene and alive with feeling. How do you do that???
I am seriously choked up about receiving the Renee Award. I'd read about this special award before but did again today. Reading about it's inception, the exchange of wonderful words and love between you, Bella and Renee...beautiful, heart aching, heart warming, tears welling.
Thank you. Much love to you, amazing Ces. Happy birthday sweet Renee.

p.s. okay 33 brushes seems like a lot, but really, they sell gesso in buckets?!

  29. Ces, thank you so much! I'm truly honoured (and unworthy!) to receive the Renee Award. I've already put it on my blog and done a post about it that I hope honours Renee and the original intention behind the award, as well as you! As for your latest painting, it's beautiful. Like many of your other commenters, I love the moon.
I've missed a few of your posts. I came over a couple of weeks ago and found your were mourning the loss of Renee and wanted to be left with your thoughts, and after that I lost the Internet and only had it back at the end of last week! Now I will have to look back through the posts I've missed.
Thank you again, Ces, I'm absolutely thrilled that you thought of giving this beautiful award to me!
    Janice. x
