I don’t profess to know everything. As much as I want to know the reason why some things happen, there are times I am resigned to just accepting and enjoying them. Here’s one of the few of them - finding a gem in the blogs:
Today is her birthday. She is a terrific human being, extremely gentle and kind, intelligent and talented, gracious, compassionate and unselfish. (True)
She is tall and beautiful has very long legs which served her well as a dancer. She is a beloved and loving wife, proud mother of a beautiful smart daughter and handsome brave son. Her husband is brainy and brawny but loses bets intentionally to help friends and neighbors. (True)
One day when she was a teenager, she was late for dance practice, so she hopped on an elephant and rode it to the dance hall. (Tall Tale)
But she was really a dancer and now a poet. (True)

I will forever love Deborah. I am grateful to her. One night I was frantic and she was the first person I thought to call knowing she would understand and she did not disappoint. She loves me without conditions, never once asked me I needed to do one thing or another. Her love has no strings attached. She is a friend of virtue.

Wow!! I think Deborah likes it, Ces!! Lovely tribute!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Ces, we're doing fine, not much snow after all, it's been such a bust this winter - it's all staying in NJ, PA, and DC as you've heard! Where are you on the Gulf - Texas? It's so true nurses don't get excused from the weather, I've often wondered how many docs and nurses had to stay overnight in a hospital! Hope you're doing well and have a wonderful weekend!

ReplyDeleteThank you very much for stopping by to greet my dearest sisterfriend Deborah a very happy birthday.
ReplyDeleteSusan, most if not all hospitals have an inclement weather policy and disaster preparedness and coverage. Nurses, doctors, police officers, and other professionals who are considered primary and essential personnel cannot be excused from not coming to work because of the weather. Oftentimes arrangements have been made in advanced and way before inclement weather arrives. Here for example, preparations are made before hurricane landfall so personnel make arrangement for their families' and pets' care then report to work days before landfall. Once inclement weather policy is in place there is lockdown and no one can leave. The longest I have stayed at work for weather related reasons was 36 hours. I don't know if you have heard of this but our hospital was flooded during a tropical storm not even hurricane, the facility had to close and we transferred hundreds of patients when power failed throughout the building and water submerged the ground floor. The hospital was closed for two months. All employees have to sign up for disaster planning coverage. I am no longer an essential personnel because I am not in the clinical area. Our department has a ride-out team, a disaster recovery team, an off-site coverage team and a replacement team. Some of us actually travel to upstate or farther west to support our facilities during inclement weather.
HEy Ces, This is sooooo beautiful. You must have been blown away at this beautiful work. Hey when you get a chance come pick up your grass skirt and coconut bra! Snows coming!

ReplyDeleteHello, dearest Ces! Thank you so much for your visit earlier... I am just not making it to my fave blogs so often with Daniel's brother visiting... But, I am getting to cook a lot and make dishes Daniel's mom used to make for them. She died when they were both young (Daniel was only 9) and both have such great memories of how she used to cook. So, we eat her food and I get to hear the stories... Wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are drawing!! Love, Silke

i want to hug you right now.
i meant to write something funny on your blog just to make you smile and laugh and stay young and beautiful, really!
about the other day... it felt like i lost my magic power, so i went to my secret garden and took a deep deep breath.
Do you know that plants and gardens and trees can hear us if we talk to them?
if you feel sad, you go to your secret garden, it will help!
now now im feeling better!
have you seen Andrew's work:
http://andrewfinnie.blogspot.com/2010/02/return-of-black-unicorn.html
He made it for us!
I told him that you wanted to see him as a unicorn, you know ;))
and... and.. if you dont mind, i want to keep you in my forest!!!
ReplyDeleteps: dunno why but im ok if you are here.
Mita, we cannot force ourselves to feel emotions that are not real. That will make us very dishonest with ourselves and that destroys creativity and imagination. An artist has to have honest emotions otherwise they can pose as someone else and pretend to make art, well, they can but that makes them technicians rather than artists. You are an artist. You are not a technician. You can keep me in your forest. You are already in mine.
ReplyDeleteso it is true.
ReplyDeletethat im ok if you are here.
to me, you are like my secret garden.
of course im not a technician.
im a hot witch :D LOL
my email addy: mita_indira(at)yahoo(dot)com
i want to share you a little secret later ok ;))
just you and me.
im having my lunch now, 12.23pm here!
Talk to you later, Ces.
truly a visual delight and lucky deborah to have you dedicate this lovely image to her, she must be in nirvana ;)
