Dear Silke,
Bella Sinclair and I designed this award in honor of Renee last year. I awarded it on April 7th, which I officially coined as Sisterfriend Day. You of all, deserve this. If Renee finds out that you did not have this she will say something like "Ces, you need to correct that immediately." You may read about distribution of the award here and here is the award's origin and history.
God bless our dearest Renee.
Love,
Ces

Yes, Renee loved making people happy. I think of her as a bright yellow Sunflower because she loved my Sunflower photos. It's amazing how many hearts our precious Renee touched and changed. Love & Blessings!

ReplyDeletelove and huge hugs.
I love Renee, our beloved
Mother Superior!

This bright particular star is ascending back to her rightful place in the heavens. Renee has been already missed since she retreated from blogging. The time comes nigh when we look up at the starlit sky and honour her presence here in our midst.
ReplyDeleteSuch a Holy Day to honor Silke. The Beautiful One with this, I'm sure you made Renee smile with this.
ReplyDeleteOh how I adore you, Ces, and all of the women, sisterfriends that Renee has brought together.

Yup, that's what she would have said. And so glad that you listened. Hearts to you, Silke.
ReplyDeleteYou know, the day you first gave this award to Renee and Bella, was the day I wrote my very first post and joined the blog world. I had no idea of the love I would find here! Thank you! Silke
ReplyDeleteDearest Ces, I was already weepy and now this - your lovely message about Renee and this, THIS header.
ReplyDeleteHAR HAR. I thank God for the Blessed Day I found you, Renee, Bella, Manon, Silke, Marie, and the rest of the Holy Sisterhood of Renee. Let us continue what Renee and her family started... At every moment, do what LOVE requires. One more HAR HAR for Renee. God surely loved me the day I was taken into This Fold. All my love, Deb

I was sick at the news of Renee's battle. It hurts my heart and my soul. She is such a wonderful woman in every way and has endured more than is imaginable. She and all of her friends who grew to know her in this blog community are in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteAnd Silke, you are a special angel!
Xo,
SuZi
Ces - I had never seen your post about the award before. What I love best about it (besides the award itself, and Bella's amazing art), is the quick exchange between you and Renee in the comments underneath. I remember when I first met Renee, and read her blog (and lurked around in all your blogs), I thought "I am not smart enough to comment here. I am not fast enough, or witty enough. I can't possibly join in." Luckily, I didn't let my lack of gray matter keep me from getting to know Renee, you and the other wonderful women Renee has introduced me to. xoxoxo Pam
ReplyDeleteHi Ces, I found yours and Bella's comments all over the place just yesterday! Apparently you've been doing this for a long time and there is quite a sisterhood out there! I don't know Renee, but she sounds like an incredible woman and will offer some prayers for her. We've been plagued with many bouts of cancer and other illnesses in our family so I know you can never have too many prayers. Just wanted to pop by and introduce myself and say how much I enjoyed looking around your blog too - great weevil illo, thanks for all the info. - I love natural science! Enjoy your Sunday, cheers! Susan
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful award Cesw and Bella...I was so blessed to be given this one...I am a sobby wreck...I adore her..I do. Thank you for creating this hon...can't see the keyboard now..
ReplyDeleteLove you hon, Sarah
Hi, there. I've changed your listing on my blogroll. I'm sorry for the misspelling, as well. The consolation is that not many people read my blog.
ReplyDeleteI was just wondering about Renee.
And I hope things are going well for you.
take care
Chris
