Do We Even Want To Touch This?

First Things First:
I offer postdiluvian thank you prayers for my family and friends in the Philippines! I am so thankful to hear from my beloved family. This is what makes the Internet useful. The flow of information is most welcome. They are all safe after the terrible Typhoon. I hope that those affected by the typhoon will recover soon and may the Philippine government do the right thing and help its people.

Secondly: Why I Believe In Conservative Values And Why I Am A Republican
Do we even want to tackle the above topic? I thought of a series that explains my experiences growing up under a dictatorship at a time when I was supposed to learn autonomy and independence and how I avoided being brainwashed and going through experiences here and abroad that define my core values and principles.

Thirdly:
Last night I told a friend I have achieved my blog goals. Will it be downhill from hereon? On the contrary, I have realized my needs that now I am free to blog as I please. If I have to blog with only a handful of blogger friends, the ones I have now, I will maintain what my friend calls "blog nirvana". Of course you know me by now. I love my friends and I am loyal as a dog, whether we are peas on a pod or vinegar and soy sauce (remind me tell you about a dish using vinegar and soy sauce). I don't agree with everyone most of the time, especially in an ocean of blue that is blogland, but I follow one premise when choosing friends and engaging in discussions, that when the time comes that I have to give up something important, forsake something I believe in or be influenced, I will not have a haunting feeling deep down in my gut that tells me I made a huge mistake; that I did it for something more noble and virtuous.

Ces,

I enjoy your thoughts and words; can you tolerate a liberal? I think exchange of information and views is of the utmost importance right now in the world and I know on my blog there are folks at both ends of the spectrum. I like thinking. I like hearing what everyone has to say.
Here is hoping for strictly selfish reasons that your blog goes on, with maybe art occasionally as you can and that your bright mind continues to show through your words!

XXOO!!

Anne, most interesting. I assume all my blog visitors are liberals unless otherwise they prove me wrong. Some of my favorite people and best friends are a little on the left, but I love them anyway. Ah scarifice, I know, that's love. (I actually misspelled that word intentionally.) HAHAHA!

Oh and foremost this will still remain a blog to post my paintings, drawings and doodles. I don't really have much to say that I have not already said.

I would love to hear about your experience growing up under a dictatorship. Sometimes having been born here, I think it is very easy to be spoiled and whiney. You know how much I love your art - all of it, the ink, oil, and the squirts. Mostly I love your mind. Okay, and that pouty little picture of you. **kisskiss** Deb

I'm so happy that all your family is safe!!
Yes.... like Deborah.... i love your FPOT!
You know what's great? It's awesome that we can all share different points of view and at the end of the day respect each other and our opinions! Unless. of course, it's offensive and malicious.
Loved your post Ces!!

Totally unrelated---I found the company with the anatomical stuff!

They have a lot of charts, but cruise through for the "brain baseball cap" and other *humerus* items!!!

Ces, do you know how sexy your brain is!?! All that work talk!!! Sorry about all the mouse clicking. Yes, you may borrow Alice's teeth, although I will miss them, because we keep them on that shelf year-round just for giggles. Would you believe no one ever notices them when they come to visit?

Art it will be mostly Deborah. Even this series, if I do it will be a an artistic political satire. Haaah! That bedhead photo! HAHAHA!

Manon, you hit it on the mark. I love your opinions, your ideas and your FPOT that creates the most intense and expressive art I have seen in ages.

ACK Anne! What are you doing? You are corrupting me. Brain baseball cap sounds fun but I am interested to see if they really have the anatomical part I am most interested in! So will have to check that out.

Oh Deb, for real!? No. It is staid and blase. It does not even get me excited. And now I have to bury myself in it.

No. 1 my prayers are with everyone especially our Bjornik and Sassy.

No. 2 I burst out laughing, oh my God Ces, you are too funny. I actually slapped my leg.

No. 3 You are a dear friend and there is only truth between us. Agree to disagree, I say.

Love Renee xoxo

Yes, it's a big drama in the Philippines, I feel so concerned when I see so many people trying to survive.

Ces said...

Hildegarde, it's very tragic but they will survive though with great suffering.

I'm so grateful that the people we know and love in the Philippines are safe. But there are so many others still suffering, and seeing pictures of the storm's wrath breaks my heart. They remain in my prayers.

You know I adore this picture, dear Ces. You can be as red as you want, and I will stay my blue. And together, we make a very regal purple. We need balance. You are my yin. I am your yang.

Do we even want to touch this? Oh yes, yes. Touch it, I must. I love to touch it.

Trying to make a donation directly to http://www.redcross.org.ph/, gave up after 30 minutes contacted a friend in Singapore and they will take care of it for us. I wish there was something we could do from here.

Today is a bad day all around I guess, my doctors are not happy and now I am the masked woman. I refuse to take the swine flue vaccine because I believe that it is way too premature not to risk natural immunity and I rather do that than find three years from now that there is really an epidemic and guess what?

Back to put my head down, even writing from bed makes me woozy...
Love you, take care of yourself and you know I am a die hard liberal who like Renee believes that love and respect is all that is required between friends to sustain a friendship.

Hi Tita Ces! Thank you for the prayers. Another super typhoon is coming to hit the Philippines tomorrow. But it's only in Luzon so your family in Bacolod will be safe.:)

Let's pray that last week's tragedy won't happen again. By the way, I love your quercus collection and I'm just going to comment here because I don't feel funny at the moment.haha Hope you're having a wonderful week.

I am so glad your family was safe from the typhoon. My grandson's family (the ones that live over there) where okay except a doctor in the family had his clinic submerged. I've been following it all on Philippine blogs I read. What a tragedy for so many.
