They make it look so ordinary but I know there is much suffering. I hope my family, friends and blog-friends in the Philippines are all safe. If the hospital where I trained for my post graduate clinical studies was flooded up to the third floor, that is a massive deluge. Please keep them in your prayers. It's different over there - most of the people are on their own. Their families are their own FEMA.

Lifting them all up in prayer, never ceasing. I cannot even begin to imagine your worries and their loss. Sending prayers on the wings of a peaceful dove.

Hi Ces, what a wake up call for those of use who have it so well! They are in my prayers. Thank you for the reminder to pray for people who are in need (that makes all of us!). I can't imagine being in a hospital that flooded up to the 3rd floor...how scary!
Got home safely last night and saw pictures of those horrible floods. Dust storms here and massive flooods there...what is the world coming to?
Floods are even more terrifying than fires and leave a much nastier mess to clean up.
I peay for all those who live through the terror of it all.
Thank you very much dear friends. My family and friends are reading my blog and I know that when they read your well wishes and prayers they will be comforted.
I'm fine tita Ces, thank you very much for your prayers. Though I still haven't heard from two of my friends who lived in an area that was struck by Ketsana the hardest.
Awful times for them Ces. We're fortunate being able to build levies and houses that can withstand the torrent. Not so lucky over there. Your family are in my thoughts. I don't pray but I will send them good karma.
Good Morning Ces, You are an adventure ! Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.
This morning, when I rose and put the tv on I saw the flooding in de Phillipijnen, Manilla...my God, how terrible! I will send my prayers to your family and friends and to all people overthere and.. I promise you, I will send my prayers to those who go there to safe, help and restore..so also to the militairy...
My country lies below sealevel; we know about flooding. I am sure dutch compagny's will go there to enforce technology later on so that this will not happen again. We are in New Orleans too...But first I hope the floods will subside and casualties will be helped well.
You be well. Courage !
Godeliva
Bjornik! Thank God you are here! I am so delighted to see you. I was wondering if I had to send a posse of friends to make sure you are okay! Please avoid the filthy waters. Do not play in the flood waters! :) Oh I hope your two friends are safe. Take care Bjornik. Love, Tita Ces
Hello Baino, ah yes, flood planning and disaster preparedness ...that would be nice!
Godelieva, hello and welcome. Thank you for stopping by. Disasters tend to keep everyone working together and understanding each other, don't they? I have seen the polders and the wonderful Dutch technologies through my blog friend Hildegarde's blog. Amazing!
Oh dear Ces, this sounds much like when Katrine hit NOLA. I have friends there and sadly, a lot was left to locals to *do*.
My heart is with you and I hope that with all the good outreach services in the world, someone will step forward and provide the needed help.
Pax.
Anne
they are on my heart already and in my prayers as well.
