Illustration Friday - Worn

Pigment and India ink on 11"x14" Bristol Board

.
WELL WORN AND TRODDEN
.

It's unfathomable how paths cross and for what reason? Maybe it is destiny, maybe the angels scripted it, but for awhile, their friendship developed a little known but well worn and trodden path of mutual admiration, respect, confidentiality, intellectual fencing, bantering and humor that led to mutual trust, love, understanding and fierce protection of each other's welfare. Thus was borne out of virtue, their friendship...that makes one laugh and the other stammer.

Hello Joseph!

I very much enjoyed the artwork, although I must confess to being confused as to why a close friendship would make anyone stammer. My assumption would be that the trust evoked would erase the stammer.

snowbrush, I must say I felt a bit the same but I do love the work itself. They look such strong characters too.

I love your work Ces!
I'm a believer that our paths do cross for a reason. Scripted by the angels..... I like that!

Ces said...

Ah Snowbrush and BT: She stammers because her words cannot keep up with the speed of her emotions!

Ces said...

Ah yes Manon, that is why we understand each other!

This is lovely, Ces - I looked at it close up too and thought it looked like a beautiful woven or embroidered piece - life's rich tapestry eh?!

Bimbimbie said...

Well whatever the thinking, feeling I like your drawings ... sometimes words aren't required *!*

The words and the drawing are so beautiful. Ces, you are beautiful. I understood the stammering. Love, Deborah

Caroline, yes indeed a beautiful tapestry and sometimes it is additionally appliqued with even more beautiful design! Thank you!

Bimbimbie, you always understood me! Thank you.

Thank you Indigene!

Thank you dearest Renee. I was actually the slayer, not the vampyre!

Oh Deborah, you are so sweet, so special and I like you very much! Thank you for understanding.

***I am now off to bed. I am working nights this week. Tsup!***

Again great food for thought and the illustration of the art of words is a treat for me.

Ces have you been reading my mind with the green leaves in your header?
Where love comes into an equasion, stammering is naturally on the cards.
It is a rarity to find someone in this life who understands you on a soul level.

Ces said...

Hello good day my dear Renee. it's great to see you upon awakening!

Leslie, thank you very much. It's an honor you think my words and art are treats.

Arija, thank you very much. Your words of wisdom are my gems.

But Ces, I don't think even you can live to 9 million.

To use all your talent, it all cannot be used. You have too much. You have too much love to.

I love the quote.

Love Renee xoxo

I am well worn and trodden this week.
Madi is better, you were right, she need to poop.
And then my computer took a dump!
I am on my kid's now. I had some posts scheduled to go ahead for the week, so it seems like I am still there. I miss my computer.

I love this drawing Ces, it is so peaceful.
Love and hugs,
Marie

Just finishing up for the day and checking in. What are you doing up? I LOVE the new header, that is a gorgeous tree.

Ces said...

Marie, I hope your computer gets fixed. I was working last night.

My dearest friend:

I believe people sho live together in a non-sexual relationship should have the rights to declare each as family too.

Love you.

I miss it already and it has only been a couple of days. I am so attached to that piece of circutboards.

How is the project going?
Sounds kind of scary to be on the 8th in the middle of the night. But you are vampyre.
Maybe I will catch up with you tonight. I waited for awhile last night, but couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.

Very lovely work - so much detail! I could only hope to be so tall and thin (and young and athletic!).

Best wishes from Wisconsin,
Angela

Hahaha! Thanks for the laughs (and snorts and chortles)!

First class in a 787 airbus! Wow! I am impressed!

Ces said...

Yes Angela, guess what!? They were serving fancy foods. This was in the eighties via Nortwest and some stewardesses were wearing Japanese Kimonos. I think they wanted to give me a treat because it was my birthday and I was immigrating to the US. Unfortunately I was so disoriented by the time I left Japan because of the many time changes (Bacolod-Manila-Japan-Seattle-Chicago-Pennsylvania-NJ) that I slept most of the time until a stewardess convinced me to hydrate myself.

Dusik said...

(i liked .. no LOVED how you called me "gorgeous".. yahoooooo!!!)

whats a vampyer shift? is it like night shift?

cause you know what? they forced new schedule on us and i finally called it quits. that's it. for this petty cash they sometimes pay me i decided i am not going to put relations with my husband in jeopardy. my husband leaves at 6:30 am and by 11:30 pm he is already sleeping. with the new schedule i would have been home around midngight. lol. waking up when he is already gone, coming home when he is already sleeping.

oh well.. i pray for something better :)

Ces said...

Dusik darling, in some instances not seeing the hubby could be a welcome treat! Did I say that? Hahaha! I missed mine and I actually was very delighted to see him this morning plus he packed food for me because I complained about being hungry at work. He is a sweetie! But I know what you mean about it being a prolonged state.

Dusik said...

thanx Gorgeous Ces!!! LOL

love ya

I love this piece too! Thank you Ces.

It is similar to being castrated, I imagine! LOL!!

Ces said...

You are welcome Dusik.

Hello Silke, I love your lovely new avatar! Thank you!

Marie, see my post following this one and I am using the same word.
