A Pillow Of Winds

I did this drawing while I was up most nights doing certain pre-implementation project tasks. Sometimes I drew in the morning but the lack of sleep made me doze off several times while drawing this. I thought the song below sounds like a good lullaby. This is for my friend who kept me company and made my work nights bearable and sane and for making me concentrate and persevere so I could finish the most mind-numbing tasks. Thank you.

A Pillow Of Winds
.
A cloud of eider down
Draws around me softening the sound
Sleepy time when I lie
With my love by my side
And she's breathing low
And the candle dies.
When night comes down you lock the door
The boot falls to the floor
As darkness falls the waves roll by
The seasons change
The wind is warm.
Now wakes the owl, now sleeps the swan
Behold a dream, the dream is gone
Green fields
A cold rain is falling
Near the golden dawn.
And deep beneath the ground
The early morning sounds and I go down
Sleepy time in my life
With my love by my side
And she's breathing low
And I rise like a bird
In the haze and the first rays touch the sky
And the night winds die.

****I am sucking in my breath*****

Oh goodness gracious. Your forest is absolutely gorgeous. Ces, this is practically photographic. Your microscopic detail is...beyond normal human ability. I am mesmerized. Intoxicated. Actually, our home in NY was next to a wooded area, and we would sometimes venture into the trees. This reminds me of home.

It took me a while, but I found her. She is grace and beauty. Is there a porcine friend in the center tree, or am I seeing things?

I cannot tell you how much I love this!

Yes, and two more types of heads. Find a man's facial profile somewhere on a fallen trunk. Anyway, I am glad you like it.

I mean, fallen branch, not the fallen trunk.

Oh my goodness, that picture was totally amazing. Do you sell these pictures, if not you sure should I saw the three head in the center trunk, but not the fallen branch. Will have to look harder for that one. I enjoyed the song and it was great to have the word posted. I love it when I can see the words cause otherwise I sometimes do not know what they are saying.

Oh and I am to over to the right and was to the left but moved to the right and on somethings can be to the left or the middle, but mostly to the right on almost everything.

God bless.

That is beautiful, Ces. I found little lizards, what looks like the skeleton of a bird? All the faces, piggy too. What a wonderful dreamy wood it is.

Oh, I see her...and the serpent over there, and a pair of lizards. I see the piglet on the central tree and beneath that a fox or a bat, but I'm wrong, right? There is a woodpecker above and to the right of the girl’s face. And another person on the second tree from that…between the boughs. I can’t find the man on the fallen branch…maybe he left.

A staggering work of genius, Ces.

Fantabulous . . your bark does look a little like a grey gum in my garden. Love the tinge of green and I'm not surprised this one took a while the detail is stunning. I thought there were faces in the trees! I'm a bit bleary eyed this morning!

The detail in your drawing is awesome Ces! I love the touch of green too.

Apologies for not being around lately - blogging has been on the back burner for a little while. I'll drop you that much promised email soon x

I can't find the faces Ces, but I did find a pair of lizards, some birds, the snake and below the knot hole in the middle tree it looks like a koala!Your art is astounding...and I saw some very colourful dishes yesterday when out shopping, and thought of you.

Ces I love the face in the upper tree.

I still can't find p?

Your twin is around the same age as this little girl but your twin is even cuter and has brown hair.

Your twin's dad is a big skateboarder out here though.
