I don't know what to post so I thought I'll just say BAM! Tomorrow is Friday which means today is Thursday. Oh how smart of me! I love Friday because of Illustration Friday. I met so many bloggers who share my interests through IF. Yesterday I worked at home. Twice a month we get to work at home. Today I went to the office, worked of course while I drank coffee and tea. I also had oatmeal for breakfast. I know it tickles you to learn that I had oatmeal for breakfast like it tickles me to know that the new family occupying the White House will adopt a Portuguese water dog. Who gives a shit! I don't care if they adopted a monkey or a chimpanzee. I am sure you don't care whether I had oatmeal for breakfast or poke my eye for fun instead! Maybe some of you do care just as I care if anything awful, bad or sad happened to you. I have not met any of you in person but I can imagine you'll just be as interesting as you are in the blogs.
. .
Sometimes I daydream that I co-own a cafe with some of my favorite bloggers. For example I think that it is nice to own a coffee shop with some of you and then we can decorate the shop with our artwork. Then some of you will stop by and linger and we sit around and chat. Maybe someone will read a beautiful passage from a well-written book.

Yesterday I found a folder full of old papers and hundreds of architectural drawings and plans I did more than thirty years ago. I also found some calligraphy exercises. When I was in high school, my mother asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up. I replied that I did not want to grow up but if I did, I want to be the wife of a very wealthy man who adored me. She told me not to go outright and seek a wealthy man but one who knows how to create wealth. As for love she told me to find someone with whom I would be very much in love but one who loves me even more. I remember going to church in New Jersey and praying something like this: "Lord, please give me a very good and handsome (I also thought of sexy but dared not mention the word in church) man who will love me for who I am, also love my family especially my mother; a man who will be a good father to our children; one who will protect me but also let me be free and not be subservient; a very, very patient man who knows how to earn and save money but will let me spend it and who, in turn, I will love, honor and respect and may his mother be wonderful, one who will fill my heart with warmth when I call her "Mom". There is a God.

Back to the architectural drawings and calligraphy. I wanted to be a scribe but since I can't be a monk, I decided to forget being a professional scribe. Besides, everyone was learning how to type. Next I wanted to be an architect. So the day I went to university, I was free to enroll in any department in any university since I had a perfect score in the national college entrance examination and had an A average in high school, therefore was offered full academic scholarships in all the universities in the province. Some time that morning before I got dressed, I talked to my mother about my career plans. I asked her what she wanted me to do, instead she asked me what I wanted to do. I mentioned about being a pilot, she reminded me that I get dizzy in the merry-go-round or even just the swing. I mentioned architecture and fine arts, even education and pre-law. When I returned in the afternoon, I told her I enrolled in pre-nursing. I was fifteen.

Girlfriend, you is craaaaaazzy.
Lovely calligraphy. I wish you had pictures of large letters inhabited with your signature people and trees.
Ah, THERE's my guest house! (I thought it was an extra large pool cabana at first.) In the morning, I shall meet you poolside, where we will sip our coffee and nibble on scones. Or oatmeal (which I had this morning with a dollop of peanut butter). Then we will head to that mah-velous coffee shop and hang up the latest art.
BAM!
What you be callin' me karayzee fo? You da' carayzee one.
Hey! Thank you. That is a wonderful idea. I shall do the alphabet in calligraphy "emBella" with trees and people!
Oh I almost forgot - oatmeal with peanut butter?
Yes, but I don't like to mix it in. Just on the side there. I heard that oatmeal with peanut butter and a glass of orange juice was good for high cholesterol, which runs in my family.
good night, kerazy lady.
Hi Ces! Nagloko ata talaga blogger. In fact, I didn't get to read some of the comments that were lost. But I think, they've already fixed it.
Sure, that would be a great idea. I've always wondered if I could see you in person. Dadaan ka ba Manila? I know a place, we could bring some artworks and hang it temporarily on the wall next to our table.hahaha
Uy, why didn't you take up architecture. Bella's right you are karayzee.haha Tawa ako ng tawa hanggang sa end ng entry.:)
You would fit right in with this family. My daughter was one of only fifteen people in the state to be accepted for a Bachelor of Creative Writing, something she was told would never happen as she needed more life experience. Well she showed them. But what did she do? After being accepted she changed her University entry to Bachelor of Nursing.Everyone was gobsmacked. You two don't do things the easy way - so talented and creative and the emotional stuff that needs to be expressed/supressed ...well, believe me, I know, and if that is presumptuous, let me rephrase it to "I can begin to understand". Much love.(Your calligraphy is great!)
Yep, you're totally mad! But incredibly clever. You can design my next house but not so many trees, unless I can afford a gardener to keep them all trim and pretty. As for the coffee shop, I've always wanted to own one or a B&B in some remote little sea-side town. . I have no art to hang but I make a great cappucino and a chocolate mud cake to die for! Oh can't stand oatmeal (you mean porridge right?) Obama bought a pure bred? Naughty man he should have got a pup from a dog shelter!
I thought this was the cafe?!?!?!
Where in the world am I then? Gosh, so confused.
Bella oatmeal lowers cholesterol probably because instead of eating a danish ir bicuits with gravy, one eats oatmeal. However, I do love oatmeal. I like my oatmeal runny, almost pooridge or soup-like with a lot of cinnamon and sliced banana. Yum!
Bjornik, gmail crashed the other day. Probably affected the comments. Anyway, the error message was related to duplicate errors. Not usre about displaying my artwork. I did not take up architecture because I thought it had heavy Math only to find out that nursing has heavy math and in my emergency and trauma nursing speciality it was heavy math under pressure. In practice we have a nurse or pediatric physician whose whose sole responsibility during resuscitation procedures is to calculate drug dosages and another nurse whose job is to prepare the medications for another nurse or physician to push. Then there was another nurse whose job was to document everything.
Pam, I think your daughter is on a higher plain because in my country most students enter college at the age of seventeen because we only have six years of elemntary school and then four years of high school. I just started a little bit earlier at five. She would be comparable to mys sister who started at barely four years old and became a teacher at eighteen. Your daughter truly sounds wonderful and a fantatstic young lady. More power to her. Nursing today is twice the mental and emotional stress!
Baino, yes you shall make coffee. We don't even have to have a coffee house, may be too much work. Pure-bred but it may be black.
Why Rich, you are here! In my capsule. BWAHAHAHAHA!
Now there's a picture ... a coffee house up a tree within a capsule - with your skills you'll have it designed, open and ready for visitors in no time ... oh and it must have books on shelves along three walls*!*
Hi Ces, we won't display our artworks then. Let's just hang it around our necks.haha
Yes, you're right about the math thing. But you can always have someone to that for you in real practice. As well as drafting and everything except for the design part.
I guess you need to transfer to the position who documents everything. Sounds like no math to me.:)
Bimbimbie, tried drawing a treehouse but I remember the housing fiasco that the Carter administration started and was enforced by the Clinton administration and I can't draw with so much anger on my mind.
Bjornik, aroung our necks may seem like we are protesting. What are we protesting? Hahaha?
