Illustration Friday: Voices

To her, there was something attractively shocking with the androgyne. She found it delightfully amusing why a pretty young woman would wear men's clothes including men's shoes and even walk like a man. She gave a backward glance and found themselves looking at each other. The voices in her head became louder and she hastened to give the androgyne a polite nod. I am too tired to verbalize the voices, so feel free to do it. Why am I tried? For two days, I have been listening to a new voice. See below. That's another story.

She is still wobbly. She is only four weeks old.

This is Daisy Brenna. I'll tell you about her next time.

For half an hout I have savoured the thought of your post, fresh and new to be opened like a present. Lo and behold new wonders emerge, a red pair of legs and a sleeping princeling. Fairytales and inspiration will grow with his/her size. May all things great or small in your life transmit their essence through your art.

Another great piece.

I was so pleased when I bought 1000 journal pages (I think that's the name of the book).. About a month ago. I was looking through it the other day and realized you have some of your work in there. I recognized the style and with a little sleuthing realized it was you!

Aww four weeks! That's too soon to leave mum, the shoudn't be weaned until they're six but she's so, so cute. I had a black labrador called Brenna, I found her name in a baby book, it means "Raven Maid".

Oh, excellent drawing! This reminds me of kd Lang, whom I adore. I so lover her beautiful, feminine voice, and yet she looks like a man. Intriguing and beguiling!

Oh oh oh!!! Look at this adorable little daisy! You know, just the other day I was wondering about that pup you were promising your son. And here she is! She is bringing a lot of life and joy and mischief into your household, I am sure. Your daughter looks like she's absolutely in love.

Merry Christmas to you and your whole family!

OK, both women are thinking the same thing:
"Best she voted McCain."
ROFL!

Only four weeks old, oh the poor little dear!

Lavender said...

D'OH!!!

"BET she voted McCain."

Much funnier without typos :)

Hmmm.. I can't think of what those voices might be saying, but I do think their faces speak without words. Your little puppy is adorable. It's really like having an infant person, isn't it? Have a very Happy Christmas, Ces :)

To all of you my sweet blog friends and visitors, A Merry Christmas to you!

Arija, I appreciate your sweet and thoughtful comment. We are looking forward to many happy moments with daisy. She is already a member of our family. Thank you very much.

Thank you Indegene. Something provocative too. :)

Hi Sandy. Yes, 4 of my Moleskine journals were included in the book. You are a regular Sherlock Holmes. Hehe. Thank you.

Hi Sweets. Well Brenna fits her nicely because she has black spots underneath that white coat of hers. It was a couple of teenagers deciding her fate. Anyhow, she is warm and loved now and I have a very happy and delighted son who suddenly has been uttering selfless statements in favor of the puppy.

Thank you Wolfie. Off to new adventures.

Hello sweet Diana, yes, a Christmas present for my son from his friend. She is a cutie. It’s nice being followed by a small creature.

Dear Bella, thank you. I like K.D.Lang’s Ingenue album, also her Drag album. My favorite song of hers is Miss Chatelaine. I contacted a breeder for Boxers and she quoted us a price for the Boxer puppy we liked but my son went home with Daisy, cheap and free. I just hope that is not how he selcts his future girlfriends. Heheh.

Lavender, both women probably thought the recent election was the biggest fiasco ever. I am sure one of them is thinking about whether the mannish dresser is wearing ultra-feminine underwear. Do you think?

Carla, I think a puppy is not as hard as a baby because it can walk and I don’t have to nurse her. Hehe. I wonder how many internal voices are muted everyday. I think that may be okay to have those voices as long as one does not start a conversation with them.

Thank you Ellen. Happy to see you here. Have a Merry Christmas!

Melissa, our adventure begins. Merry Christmas to you and yours too! Thank you for your sweet and kind friendship.

Loving your new header, the house is very inviting :) Your voices are your usual wonderfulness and remind me of Isabella and her shoes, and i LOVE the puppy :)

Thank you Val. I must let Isabella come out. She has been stuck at work, tapping her shoes nervously as she checks her long task list one at a time.

Woooh!! So cute the puppy. But can go already to the street being so young??

My first impression of the drawing was about that moment when you pass somebody on the street and think twice: Do I know her/him???
